Staff

Our camp staff features current and former NCAA Champions, NCAA All-Americans, US Olympic Team Members, and NCAA coaches. They are some of the nation’s most dynamic and successful wrestlers and coaches. Our staff is dedicated to teaching campers the technique, skills, and training that has taken them to the top.

	Mike Zadick Mike Zadick is the Assistant Wrestling Coach at the University of Iowa, a multiple-time World Team member, and 2008 Olympian.
	Mark Perry Mark Perry was a four-time NCAA All-American and two-time national champion with the Iowa Hawkeyes. He just finished his second year coaching at Cal-Poly, where he held the position of Associate Head Coach.
	Gabe Ruhkala Owner and Director of American Elite Wrestling Camps, Gabe is a former University of Iowa wrestler, and spent the last season coaching at California Baptist Univeristy.
	Joe Johnston Joe was a 2x All-American for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. He is currently on the coaching staff at the University of Missouri, and is still competing in freestyle with the goal of making the US National Team.
	Danny Song Danny Song will be the American Elite Wrestling Camp Lead Clinician for this year's Sacramento camp, and will also be running the strength and conditioning seminar. Danny wrested for the Merchant Marine Academy from 2004-2006 and has been at Iowa for four years, competing with the Hawkeye Wrestling Club. He has held the position of Iowa's strength and conditioning coach for two years.
	Alex Grunder Alex Grunder is a California high school wrestling coach and former University of Iowa Wrestler. Chris Hammer's bio can stay the same.
	Chris Hammer Chris Hammer was a Junior College All-American as well as a NCWA National Champion.
